Designed as a focal point for both the home and outdoor living space, this project was built around creating a true backyard showpiece. Working closely with the homeowners and their builder, Family Pools developed a layout that delivers an immediate visual impact from the moment you enter the home, framing the outdoor oasis through expansive views and thoughtfully placed architectural elements.
At the heart of the design is a custom pool and spa finished in Stonescapes Aqua Cool, creating a vibrant contrast against the Ivory Shellock decking. The fully tiled spa serves as a central feature, complemented by a spacious sunshelf and a series of three palm tree planters that rise from a surrounding wading pool. Integrated lighting within the wading areas highlights the palms after sunset, transforming the landscape into a striking nighttime display.

A series of eight stepping stones extends across the water, creating a visual connection between the home’s dual lanais while guiding guests toward one of the project’s most distinctive features: a sunken fire pit lounge. Designed as a natural gathering place, the fire pit is surrounded by water and enhanced with integrated strip lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere day or night. Two fire-and-water bowls add movement and drama, while automated ignition and controls through the Hayward app make operation effortless.
The entire composition was designed around the homeowners’ love of entertaining. Whether gathering with friends after a day on the golf course, hosting family celebrations, or enjoying a quiet evening outdoors, the layout encourages connection while maintaining a strong sense of luxury and visual impact.
The result is a backyard that feels both refined and welcoming—a carefully planned outdoor environment where water, fire, lighting, and landscape work together to create a memorable experience from every angle.
